Background:
From our beginnings some thirty years ago, our business has grown from hiring temporary builders poles for construction sites to carrying out large programmes of work for a number of clients including constituent Councils, the RTA, AWT (Sydney Water), SRA and FAC at Sydney International and Domestic airports.

The hiring side of the business, Smalls Pole Hire, was the original concept of the company then as we expanded (with three sons entering the equation) our horizons broadened. We diversified firstly into supplying and installing permanent power poles and overhead linework, and later into installing poles and safety netting around golf courses and golf driving ranges.

Capability:
As well as being fully trained in overhead linework, our men are also fully licenced in the operation of our well maintained fleet which includes:

• 2 x Erector/Borers
• 1 x Elevated Platform Vehicle (insulated)
• 2 x Tip trucks
• Cable trailer and rollers
• Hauling gear and hardware
• Trench Digger

Our men have also undertaken training in Traffic Control with the RTA and Track Safety Awareness Training with the SRA, and hold relevant certificates from both of these organisations and more...

Performance/Experience:
This company has, over many years, gained valuable experience and expertise in a variety of jobs. Below are our main fields of work, but don't hesitate to test us with something new:

• Installing poles and running overhead aerials for new services, installing metering and energising supply for both residential properties in the inner city and rural properties in the outer Sydney area and Blue Mountains.
• Work for the RTA including installation of columns for closed circuit television cameras, speed cameras, and supplying power to variable message signs on the main highways between Wollongong and the Central Coast.
• Installation of low voltage spreader bars on existing bare open overhead aerials.
• Intallation and design of lighting for ovals and parks from 1m bollards to 30m lighting towers with multiple flood lights.
• Maintainence work on low voltage installations including tree trimming, crossarms amnd pole inspections.
• Golf safety netting for golf courses and driving ranges.
